Welcome to CL’MASA-FAM’IA

Christian Friends,

We now have twelve interest sites started, which we will gradually add information; plus we are starting a Christian Family Blog for people to share ideas of family entertainment, past-time, recreation, etc. You can link to them from our home site “Christian Living – CL’MASA-FAM’IA” www.christianlivingclmasafamia.blogspot.com

Christian Living Newsletters

About Christian Living Newsletters with Input From Friends From Around the World from Way Back ---

A few years ago, I started working on pulling together materials from old Christian Living Newsletters where I shared information from my pen pals from around the world on different topics. We did not have computers when I was editor of the Christian Living Newsletters, but later I put information from them on computer disks. The disks were of the older type and I had a computer with a drive that would read them, but the software that I used at the time; now has been updated so many times (as software now is) that I could not get the updated software to open the files where the newsletters were stored. As I thought I had it all saved on the disks, I filed the hard copies of the old newsletters according to their subject area. Now over the many years of teaching, I have over 50 file drawers, plus boxes and notebooks of materials in my school shed. I will continue working on putting all the old newsletters together in a file in my office as I find them. We decided as this is taking so long with having a lot of other things that have priorities that we will share other things on these blogs and plan to work on gathering the old newsletters and putting them into book forms. When we have them finished in book form, we will post information on getting a copy on this blog. I apologize for not being able to post the information on here and for taking so long to get back on here about it. We are in the process of pulling together materials for several book series at this time.

Christian Living

Christian Living Aug.20014

Both Naomi & Nellie have been very busy with different obligations. They both will continue to put things on here when they have the time. Nellie will submit mostly under "CL'MASA-FAMIA", the newer name. Naomi will submit mostly under "Successful Christian Living", the name from years ago. About 1970 Christian Living was set up by Nellie as newsletters; in about 1975, Nellie added the selling of books from the Successful Living Business & started using the name of Successful Christian Living; Naomi worked with her family with the Faith, Hope, & Charity Mission during this time; later, Nellie's organization became CL'MASA-FAMIA and Naomi's organization became the Faith, Hope, & Charity Educational Group.

Sorry, haven't been on here much

April 5, 2014 Sorry, that I haven't been able to be on here much; 1) with my hands' problems 2) the lightening hitting & frying the computers and everything,  3) along with my going up & staying with (caring for) my folks, I just haven't been able to do much on here. My hands are healing very well, although I can't type for any length of time yet. The doctor's said that it would probably take at least 3 years. My hands are so much better now than they were before the operations. Hopefully, by next winter, I will be able to do a lot more on here. I have all new equipment (replacing what was fried in the electric storm). The new equipment is much more updated than what I had before. Now that spring is coming, I will need to be outside as outdoor chores need attention on our farm. I will work at updating you on our "Camp Dream" which is a priority of mine.  These blogs are important and tie in with the "Camp Dream".  We will start including more information on that.            Nellie Way Dezinski

I'll be back!

I haven't been on any of our Christian Living Blogs for over a year (it looks like). I've had trouble with carpal tunnel for the last couple of years. I've had both hands operated on now & am just waiting for them to heal. I hope to be back on here before too long. Nellie

Input from Friends From Around the World from Way Back

Input from Friends From Around the World from Way Back

Column Title -- Christian Living's Environmental Blog

JoLeAn's Environmental Gazette with Uncle Isaac & Aunt Esther Gleason.
Theme – Environmental
In the late 1960’s through early 1970’s we started & published a newsletter with articles from persons from around the world. Now that I’ve retired from full time teaching I’m going through many, many boxes of materials that I’ve kept over the years & sorting through it, sending some to missions to use in their educational program, donating other materials to other causes, etc. Some, I need for the curriculum development work that I am still doing or for our camp programs. I just found some of these old news letters which I was looking for. They made me think, “How did I ever get these?? We did not have computers, internet, etc. back then. How did we get this information from people from all around the world??? I had to think a few minutes for the answer. Everything was by mail (it was a lot cheaper to send a letter in those days); starting in high school, I began writing to pen pals. Again, I had to jog my memory as to how I got these pen pals. I remembered, there used to be teen magazines with articles containing pen pal names, addresses, & other information. Also the group that encouraged me to start these new letters was The Faith, Hope, & Charity Missions, which was NaomiLeah’s family’s organization. Many in her family & her friends were missionaries and this was a group that supported them in pray, writing them letters, etc. It was between my pen pals & my writing missionaries, etc. that I was able to collect the information for our newsletters. I am still looking for the boxes with the original letters with snap shots of the pen pals & missionaries along with their last names. I just hope they did not get lost: I’ve been looking & looking for my white nursing Bible which had my family tree in that my grandmother filled in when I first went into nursing. Because of back problems, I later left nursing & went into education. When I went to Bible College I had taken educational classes also. I took nurses training & attended Bible College right after I graduated from high school.  I’m including the ethnic connections, if we have them, as at the time I asked the contributors to try and include information that they sent us that reflected on their ethnic back grounds. Enough on all of that; I just wanted to put some back ground to these articles. Nellie
